Chris J. Bowman, DMD

Dr. Chris J. Bowman is a native Oregonian, growing up in Woodburn and graduating from Woodburn High School.  He completed his Bachelors of Science at Oregon State University.  He received his dental training at Oregon Health Sciences University where he graduated with High Honors in 1995 and was inducted into Omicron Kappa Upsilon Dental Society, a distinguished dental honor society.  

Dr. Bowman then practiced for two years with his father, Dr. Homer Bowman, in Woodburn as a general dentist. Dr. Chris Bowman then returned to Oregon Health Sciences University and received his Certificate in Endodontics in 2000.  His research paper was featured on the cover of the Journal of Endodontics in March, 2002.  He has been practicing Endodontics in Salem since 2000 with his former associate Dr. William Girsch.

From 2000 to 2012, Dr. Bowman was an Associate Professor at Oregon Health Sciences University one day a week teaching in the Undergraduate Endodontic Clinic. He helps families with limited resources by donating dental services in conjunction with the Neighborhood Dental Program through the Salem-Keizer School District.

Dr. Bowman is a member of Marion Polk Dental Society, the Oregon Dental Association, the American Association of Endodontists, and the American Dental Association.  

Dr. Bowman enjoys many activities outside the office including hiking, backpacking, cycling, Taekwondo and spending time with his family.
